    Dakota, my beautiful Siberian Husky, has been a dream come true. I’ve always wanted a black and white husky, but never in a million years did I think I would have her and be able to have her by my side every second. At 8 weeks old, I started Dakota in obedience classes. She passed elementary, middle, and high school with flying colors. Once Dakota graduated, the next step was to train her to become a service dog.     Travel

    My parents have taught me that it is very important to travel and that the world has a lot to teach us. At a very young age, two months to be exact, I took my first trip out of the country. My dad said the first thing he did when I was born, was he applied for my passport. My parents knew that they wanted to take us to as many places so we could see the world differently and so we can appreciate everything we have. Traveling has changed a lot for me.     Yesterday, I woke up to a big white envelope with my name on it. I felt the excitement rising from within. It’s a piece of paper that I have waited more than 8 years to receive, my Bachelors Degree. Throughout my whole life, all I could ever think about was traveling and school.     Support Team

    Today I’m going to talk about what its like to have the right people and support when you are going through tough times. I believe having a support team is the key to getting through any difficulty that life throws at you. My parents and brother have been my rock throughout my life. I know for a fact, without them, I would not be here. They have sat with me through every long and tedious scan or hospital visit.
